This is sooo true. I got a replacement for one side since water was getting in ... I installed the replacement and everything was OK. Now today I go and check, and this is what I see:



And then my other side:



I'm just going to scrap these and buy OEM's I think.

Looks good YAR1S!! Yeah that sucks, like I said in person, I had to do the same thing..

Ever since then, it's been fine though.

Aaah!! That's so sad! Maybe you'd be interested in the clear tail lights trdsparks.com is selling? I just bought mine on sale for $112 shipped! You should maybe take a look into those...

Sorry to rub salt in the wound. I have never had a problem with Toyota parts, so I tend to believe in their quality. I guess you get what you pay for.

It sounds like they have the LEDs wired so that they are being significantly overdriven. If you can take a picture of the PCB that the LEDs are mounted to (or if they don't have a PCB, just some pics of the wiring mess) I can come up with an easy fix.
