I thought changing the cat converter was illegal. Is there any way to do it legally or does it even matter?

it's illegal to remove a cat from your vehicle, but if you replace it with another cat you may be in the clear. if your state does not do emissions testing then you're definitely in the clear. i'm running a magnaflow spun cat as well.
