I actually had some under dash lights hooked up to the dome circuit and I'd tell you which wire on the junction box it was if I hadn't disconnected it. I seem to recall it was a pink-ish wire. I know this doesn't help much but just know that it is possible and easy to wire into the circuit. The under dash lights even faded in and out like the dome light.
