Alright.... so, since I am pretty convinced non of that was in English (lol) I am just going to assume it is way too techy for me to understand and I will end up screwing everything up. I will just continue to think you have the coolest desktop on the planet and stick to my Dachshunds

(if it goes beyond turning the computer on, I am an idiot )

ahh well Ubuntu is a free open source Linux-based operating system. You can check it out here if you'd like. You can download it and burn it to a CD or request a free CD from the site. You can try it by booting from the CD without even changing your current operating system. It's a great free alternative to Windows.

That is AWESOME. I love Vista (from what it seems, me and 5 others actually like it lol) but if there is something better, I am all about it. I am checking that out now :) Thanks!

Sorry for the OT chat to everyone else ...

My humble suggestion is that you do not show your desktop if it shows an array of short cuts. This would allow any nefarious characters who may be lurking about to be able to see what software you are running, which could have exploitable vulnerabilites and potentially be hacked.

not my fault if you have a shitty firewall and don't know how to protect your computer
