Nice of you to be more worried about a repairable car than going back and checking on the animal. Doesn't suprise me though since this is what our society has lowered itself to. On the up side, I guess, glad you as the human is alright.

+3. I always hate seeing so much roadkill on the road. Especially domestic animals. People have got to be some pretty sick motherfuckers to kill animals for fun or enjoyment. Karma will catch up to them, though.

I think here in NY you HAVE to stop and report it when you hit a domestic animal.

That's true but I am sure many people hit and take off. It is not fun hitting someone's pet dog or cat and certainly not fun to have car damage. However, there are times when the driver may not have any alternative due to traffic, someone close behind them and no time to react. It is unfortunate, but sadly, hitting an animal at times, is the only safe alternative.
