Tein compacts and a few other goodies
![]() ![]() ![]() I'll get a good shot of the car when I have a chance it was dark before I could snag a photo. A little dampening adjustment and I'll be ready for autocross! Sorry about the flash on the TEIN label, if you're wondering those are fully ride height/dampening adjustable and fully rebuildable! As for the others parts shown above? Cusco rear sway bar, endless NS97 pads and AP Racing front rotors. I figured if AP can make brakes for Formula 1 cars they must be good enough for the Yaris. ![]() BTW all the parts you see on the car were ordered through Glenn at Upgrade Motoring. Great customer service and connections with the very best companies in the business. I cannot recommend him enough!

Nice.
How much were the pads? Mine are starting to make the warning grind, so if they're not that much more than "regular" pads, I might as well upgrade. |

The NS97's are nearly 300 bucks for just the front. Much more expensive than "regular pads". If you're interested I have my stock pads and rotors with only 4k miles on them.

Well, those are racing pads. But yeah, thanks for the offer, but I might just look around and see about those lifetime brake-pads.

If you're interested I can get you an exact price through Upgrade Motoring where I picked up mine. All I can say is they aren't extremely expensive but they're the best I could find for the Yaris.

Kaotic, I carry carbotech pads, the 1521 would rock on your car and they are $129.
I haven't seen an R1 Concept rotor fail yet (I've track tested them myself), and I'm betting they are less expensive as well. Nice upgrades to your car, arctic!!! ![]() (now run some brake ducts )

link to the thread regarding R1 rotors: http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/sho...6&postcount=24 I'm not saying R1's are not worthy rotors, I was considering them until I read the thread that started a major "discussion" about people's break setups. |

It's a good discussion to have, and I support healthy dialog. I also stand by the products I sell and race my own cars with them.

^^
If the price is too high and the specs are nothing special I'm getting the R1 rotors. |

Maintenance on disc brakes is very easy compared to the drums. I think there is a DIY floating around too.

Cool. I'll do a search. Yeah, I was watching someone do some maintenance on our Camry's drums...kinda scary how one of those springs can pop out and kill ya.

I found the DIY, but just to be safe, I'd rather have a professional do it. He's actually on the forum, hahaha, but doesn't post much.
