it involves resistors.. the tC guys had the same problems (07+) that were all corrected with simple radio shack purchases :) look up AEM FIC in the tC forums on www.scionlife.com

I'm getting curious bout the FIC as I will be getting one soon... My idea is to try to install it on the NA car and see if i can get it to work... If I do... I can start thinking about the FI possibilities.... Would this be a good idea at all? Try the FIC first on the NA car?
