Ubuntu has a Netbook Remix edition: http://www.canonical.com/projects/ubuntu/unr

I'm typing this message on the forerunner to that, Easy Peasy. It was started by a 3rd party and then adopted by the Ubuntu team but continues to develop on its own at a faster pace.

Both distributions offer a much easier to use interface for small screens (I'm on an ASUS EEE PC 900), come pre-configured for all the hardware on the unit, and have access to the Ubuntu repositories.

I have the 8GB SSHD and 1.5GB ram so its a little faster with the extra ram but I can't really watch things 'full screen' but could have been moblin's fault (or mine since I was messing with it)

yeah I really liked netbook remix, it was great on our eeepc1001, but now that computer dual boots xp and a cracked apple os of some sort. But I do <3 ubuntu, its so easy and smooth on the AAO

ps - those white water pictures are awesome!

lol. Sewing really does come in handy. I never have to pay a ton of $$ to alter my clothes... and I can be as creative as I please.

Motorcycles, on the other hand.... you should get into.
