Funny you should post this, I did my best first bar this morning...94.9 miles! I had to laugh as I was thrilled to pass 80 miles, surprised to pass 85 miles, and shocked when I passed 90 miles! But the kicker was losing that first bar at 94.9 miles! I really thought I would make it to 95 miles, but a corner killed my chances! Oh well, for one, the gas gauge is not overly accurate in these cars, and some of it depends on how much you fill it up (stop at the first click, or add a little more...the smallest addition can make a difference of several miles in such a fuel efficient machine); but that still beats my old record by over ten miles!
However, even my former record didn't end up being an overall record once the tank was empty. Still, it's always fun to see how far that first bar will last! Cheers! M2 |
