I kinda like the idea, a switchable ECU system so you can keep maximum fuel economy for normal situations, and tweaked settings at the press of a button.
Now the question is, does this kit in question actually do anything?

Been thinking about it... the best, most effective "race mode" button you could get is one that says "NOS" on it.... nuff said

The idea behind this modification is taken from exotics, namely FERRARI which has 3-6 swithcable preset vehicle settings. I know the BMW M5 has this feature. It's literally like a video game where you preset the options to your liking and just floor it. I'm not sure what the feature or system is called on the M5, but there is a feature that allows the vehicle to cleanly push all the power to the wheels without any slippage (upon take off) even at higher revs above 6000 rpm.

^^sounds like more expensive stuff to break.
But then again, if I could afford a M5 or a Ferrari I'm sure I would be able to afford to fix it too. |

I second etimago... it would make for a nice NOS button.
Thats the only way this car will ever be straight-line quick anyway, unless you spend thousands on FI or a swap. |

Well the M6 is out now. Another crazy M vehicle to watch out for. But damn, the M5 is pound for pound the craziest sports sedan. The previous M5 models are still legendary...

Maybe if you buy the yaris over again you'll be doubly fast? By my calculations, 14k or so would = a 9 second car... |
