You could use a seal simular to the kind garm sells for sealing the hood around the window. That way keeps it air tight and water tight when its not poped out and just remove the glue. And install a hindge. If you look at the mid 90s ford escort hatchbacks. Its simular size and style pop up window. Maybe can remove the hinge from one in a junk yard and try it out. Only thing is how do you go about drilling a hole in the glass window to insert it without cracking it.
