Looking at the European EWDs, it looks like DRLs are an optional thing on European Yaris. The wiring between the DRL module and the headlight switch is significantly different for one with versus one without, so I don't believe that you'll find a connector hanging there.

I did a DIY for having the headlights turn off with the key. This may be an easier method, as you can simply leave the headlights on all the time, and they just shut off automatically with the ignition.
