It all depends on the driver and his/her technique. The friction disk could be done in 20,000 miles or 200,000 miles. I had a 74 Beetle with 250,000 miles on the friction disk. And it was still good. I put 100 highway miles a day on it and treated it like glass. If you wear the lining into the rivets there goes your pressure plate and flywheel meaning another $$$$. After 152K it could be there. Its strictly your call.
