Went to the dealer recently...
Wanted a tire rotation and nothing else. Mileage on my 09 sedan @ 4500. Surprised they didn't try to sell me an oil change or anything.
Total came out to about $20 after taxes. Not too bad, considering they inspected my tire tread and brakes as well. Did I mention complimentary car wash? Really needed that one. ![]() 8/32" and 10mm/4mm F/R. Now for the DIY oil change with PP synthetic since that is all that remains to satisfy my "5K" recommended service ![]() |

I wish I had the garage space so I wouldn't have to go to the dealer to do anything. I'd kill to be able to expand my tools and equipment sets

Since I'm a relative noobie to tire rotation, any tips on tools/tricks for the Yaris? Or even snow tires? I'm dreading driving on my Goodyear Eagle LS tires (OEM) during the snowy Wisconsin winter... |

Back on-topic: chai, tire rotations are a pretty simple thing to remember. Rotate fronts to rears and vice-versa every 5K miles with your oil change. As long as you remember to do that every single time you should be getting slow and pretty even tire wear.

i'm a car owner noob, and I have a question...
If we rotate, do we need to balance at the same time? or is it ok just to rotate and forget about the balancing? |
