Yes. Attached to the bottom of the fuel pump in the bottom of the sender unit in the tank. It is a flat plastic mesh filter.

I've been pondering this question lately-apparently a non-servicable item. One less thing to do, but will probably limit the life of the fuel pump to 150K if I'm lucky.

I have never had an injector or carbon build-up issue on any vehicle i've used chevron in (same with my grandpa... and he's been driving for over 50years).... At the very least.... run chevron or shell every other tank... that way you can use the cheap stuff, and then help clean it out with the good gas with techron. |

There's definitely not one outside of the tank. The filter is attached to the bottom (intake) of the fuel pump.

I agree on using Chevron from personal experience. Used costco gas for over a year on a few different vehicles and ended up with several fuel related problems in both vehicles. I thought it was just bad luck till the mechanic found out where I bought my fuel and advised me of the trouble he had seen with other peoples cars who bought there fuel at the cheapest places possible. I since went back to Chevron only and no fuel related problems what-so-ever.
