If you can get your hands on a voltmeter try that instead. The +12V on that pin is not intended to source current, but rather is just a high impedance ADC looking for the various resistances fed by pressing the different switches on the stalk.

Hello CTScott, I know you said that only cars with US/Canada specs support CC, but I need to know if my 2014 yaris with mexican specs supports it since the car appears to be fully wired (the d3 has the black wire for the horn, the blue and brown for the CC and aparently 3 more wires for audio controls). It also appears to have the CC indicator on the instrument panel along with the vsc/trac which is not an option for sedans in mexico. Is there any option for me in case OEM CC can't be installed? I take highways a lot and it's not fun for my leg.

Check for the presence of the blue wire on the ECM connector. The ones from the steering column may only run to the junction block under the dash top.

If you pull the rubber plug you can stick a small piece of wire in the hole to take the voltage measurement. Turn the key to the on position and take the measurement with the red on that wire and the black lead on a ground.

Unfortunately there was no voltage there. Is there any other way to install a CC in my yaris? Thank you for your time.

Your options would be to either switch the ECM to a US spec one or use an aftermarket cruise control system.

It should just be a matter of mounting and plugging in the control stalk.
Have a look at http://yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37205 The 2015 should only be a facelift from 2012.

Just making sure I understand correctly - I have a 2011 Hatchback with M/T
Looking at this stalk on Amazon - http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00V5ZXW4A/...I27G87P2Z63AYI it looks like it comes with wiring so I wasn't clear on if I needed the Cruise Control Stalk wire or not ? Thanks ! |

CTScott,
I sent you a couple PM's but the forum isn't showing that I've sent them. Let me know if you've received them. They were regarding parts availability for cc install on my 2007 S Sedan AT no power. |

Hi there,
im doing an DIY Cruise Control installation on my Yaris 2007 Sedan (w/o power) automatic. Im in the step that a i've to wire ECM A21 Connector 41 pin to the D3 Connector. The problem is i can't find my D3 connector. Here's a photo of my control panel : ![]() and a closer one : ![]() i think it the no.1 but i'm not quite sure, cause in the tutorial, it's says that i've to look at a black wire, but i dont see any black wire alone. I've install the cruise control stalk, i went on the road to try the cruise control but it didnt work. My horn's working so i guess the steering wheel connector is okay. On number 2. in the picture, there's a white coming out from a bunch of wire directly connected (solder) to a yellow wire, i dont know if this is why it doesn't work. And on the no1 connected, i've circle a spot , there's a pin there but i dont know if it's that white wire that has been caught by the previous owner... and that yellow wire is connected to a black box (no.3 on the picture) , and i dont know what this black box for. Here's what you can see on the top of that black box. ![]() and here's where those wires goes. I dont know where they end up. ![]() Can you help me out on this ? Thanks a lot ! |

Hi all..
My cruse control stopped working last night on the way home, and so I removed the switch, and took it apart, and low and behold, the ON/OFF pushbutton wires, one broke off its solder point. Stripped the wire a bit, and re soldered, and bingo! back in business.. regards |
