. Yes , the syn fill is easier to read with the plastic dipstick . That was the case with the '08 L.B.. The '08 sedan and 2010 3 door came with a metal dipstick . The 1st generation XB came with the yellow dipstick too .

My '08 LB came w/ a metal dipstick and does not give a very clear reading.
