when in ohio for a toyota meet the other week, i was really surprised to see/hear regular people thanking someone who was wearing a uniform. as a canadian, it was new to me.

Very common 'round here. But today especially, because it's Memorial Day in the states. A day we set aside to honor all who have served...past and present.

Really, I have always found the Canadians to be quite grateful towards their veterans; but most of my experience with Canadians has been with members of their military. We have a Canadian Air Force exchange officer where I work, he is a great guy and we go shooting on occasion.

I also remember this song by Terry Kelly that came out back in 2003 for Remembrance Day (if I'm not mistaken)...
