After 55 years of driving, I find that the LAST thing I need is another distraction; hence, no accidents (except when a 5th-wheel chuffed me) in that time. Our sedan has the mandatory radio/cd player, unused by me: my wife uses it during her job delivering mail.
I have to know what is going on using ALL my senses, and a bloody radio/cd is interfering with that. I guess it has to do with the fragility of the cars I used to drive: every sound was possibly trouble! |
