Not true at all.

I have automatic locks on my Yaris Hatch. I have my battery die back in 07. Left an interior light on at the car park before going away on a one week vacation.

I was, of course, able to get into my Yaris no problem by manually unlocking the doors with my key.

How could it possibly be the case that you couldnt manually lock or unlock you car? Crazy thought.
