New yaris....now what?
Picked up my new 2010 yaris on sunday....yes Fathersday thang!!!.
I've read the manuel, and it say's not too:....use polishes/wax,glass cleaner etc, etc, etc ![]() The dealership "said" the yaris comes from the factory with synthetic 5w30 oil in it.....true or not true?. So,what do you veteran yaris folks REALLY use on/in your car?. TIA |

SmartWax is my favorite product line for washing, waxing, cleaning, polishing etc.
Meguiar's and Mother's are both good too. The dealer is silly, of course you're supposed to keep your new baby clean and shiny. ![]()

dont be afraid to use cleaners, LOL!!! They are just trying to cover their butts.
and I believe it comes with regular non-synthetic oil from factory? I've always put in synthetic since I got it..... I pay as much as I would have to pay for a mechanic to do a regular oil change because I change my own oil and use synthetic, local auto parts stores sell cheep syn oil! and also car ramps so you can get under there, I will never get my oil changed again, the yaris is easy to work on in that respect.

Very easy to do oil changes, i do it without a ramp, i just use the stock jack it comes with under the driver seat to drain all the oil out, to do a yaris oil change takes about 20-30 minutes after you have done it a couple times.
Don't listen to the dealer they might've just said that so that you stay buying synthetic oil and possibly would come back to them to pay more for a synthetic oil change, haha but it is worth it to go synthetic i think.

127001---are you talking about butter wax from Car bright?
Yes,synthetics are superior to dinos in performance....just didn'r know if it actually came from the factory with synthetic or not. |
