guys, that last post was from 08......lol.
but my .02 is if its tempered glass a small chip or pressure point can appear fine untill all of a sudden the pressure is released. had this happen when i was having a dinner party, a guest dropped a cup but it didnt break, only a tiny chip off the rim, put it on the counter and got a fresh one. to our disbelief about 20mins later the cup exploded, sending glass accross the room
