And I'm not that impressed. On a scale of 1-10, I give it a 5 or 6. Thats not good enough to go in my Yaris. The horn needs to be positioned properly to work well and I want it in a specific spot.

I'm gonna build another box next week. I may go sealed. When we completely blocked the horn opening the performance got better, much better. I still don't wanna take up a lot of room and this woofer will work in a super small enclosure.

I decided not to wait until next week. So I went to the shop around 1:30 and by 4:00, I had a box. I still have a lot of work to do but it sounds much better than the Horn load Box. Its internal volume is 0.45 cu ft and the woofer really likes this size. This box willl be a downfire box

I am a definate believer in lots of glue and screws.

I still have a lot of work to do, I could not find the rounded corner router blade for example. But we did check the box in a Toyota Sienna (owned by one of the shops emplyees) and it did pretty well.

Vas (liters) 51.48 Fs 28.45 Qts 0.46

Using Vance Dickasons method for determining the best type of enclosure, we divide Fs/Qes and get EBP. EPB numbers around 50 or less indicates a seal box. In my case 28.45/ 0.51 = 55.78. We need a sealed box.
