When should I buy/when are the 2011s out?

My current car (1991 Volvo 740 Sedan) has numerous mechanical problems: the transmission cooler lines are leaking, the rack in the steering is going bad, the A/C doesn't work, and the stereo is missing speakers (though I don't think that counts as a mechanical problem). I want to get a Yaris and I even know where I want to get it (the CarMax in Kenosha, WI). However, is right now the time to get it because it's not yet the end of the model year? If I wait a couple of weeks for the 2011s to come out will the 2010s be significantly reduced in priced or will it not matter that much?

The best way to get a good deal is research, getting financing in advance, and pricing used cars. Being commited to one dealership might cost money. The price could be lower in a week or 2, but the selection for a 2010 will be more limited.

Toyota has been doing 0% financing for a while, not sure if that will be in effect on 2010 when the 2011 comes out. Might want to check with dealer on that one....

2011's should be here soon. I'd wait and see if there really is any benefit to getting an 11 before committing to a 10.

Just my measly .02:)

Maybe the 2011 could finally get cruise , outdoor temp , and mileage display for an option package . Hopefully the hatchbacks will get TRACTION CONTROL on / off button as a standard feature like the 2010 sedan . Silly move . Thus I would wait . Sure there will be some 2010s left with large rebate of $750 > $1,000. Happy YARIS hunting .

I ended up buying a blue 4 door hatch today. I've been doing my research for months and I got a very good price.
