accessories under hand brake?

I have an '07 hatchback and I popped the cover piece under the e-brake and noticed some connectors there for ??? I'm wondering if anyone knows what those are designed for and what my base model is missing that I could install?

thanks.

I believe that on the HB the aux port is there under the handbrake.

On mine, I have an AUX port and a door lock. You can get a fog light switch to go in there as well. Also, I cut a square out of one of those inserts and mounted a USB port for my HU. Works, until you bump the USB Drive out of place :(
