I find it pretty interesting that the studies have shown that if you read between the lines Toyota is saying that the issues are stemming from sub-par aftermarket products. What I find interesting is that the rubber seals in question is such that they can not withstand the varience in polymer amounts that other seals can withstand including the seals that Toyoto is using to replace the defective seals and seals on other models/years of Toyotas not recalled.
Other maufactures do not have have a problem with customers using the correct brake fluid as Toyota does.

By their own admissions, they are replacing the seals/piston in question with ones that will not be effected by this.
It's just some more smoke and mirrors from Toyota IMO.
