Fumoto oil drain valve on lowered vehicles
Hi, just wondering if any one has installed the fumoto valve with a nipple on a lowered Yaris? coz I cant get a oil pan underneath without jacking it up.
Thanks |

Looks good, but wouldn't you still need to get a drain pan underneath that thing? Doesn't look like there would be enough room to attach a drain line on that valve. |

IMO, if you are lowered, just get the standard fumoto, and drive up on a couple 2x4s stacked up... increase height by 3.xx inches(two of them), and allow room for an oil pan...

I opted for a Fram Sure Drain valve because the idea of a Fumoto sticking out that far that low made me a little nervous.

No problems, I'm quite happy with it. I got a great deal on it. Not as cool as a Fumoto but a tad safer in this app I think.
I have a Fumoto on the wifes Rogue and love it on that vehicle. It would probably be fine on a Yaris too but I just couldn't do it. |

Mine works fine, its not too low or hard to get too or any of these things you people are worried about.

I found this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FRAM-...item3cb1d55e7c , I read somewhere Fram no longer makes these drains.

Guys, be careful with those plugs. A lot of people have returned them due to leaking. So just keep an eye on it, checking for spots under your car. It's a great idea, but isn't popular due to the high failure rate.

IMO, there are some people that think that they are good under the hood, but there are some people that DO NOT belong under the hood... period... while i will say that there are probably a portion of them that might be bad, i will BET that there are people who had a "leak" that had installed in incorrectly, and took it back to the store saying bad part when it was not bad...
