Having a kid when you cannot afford it is BEYOND the stupidest thing you can do. Thats why there are teen pregnancies.

And in the end its his grandchildren so he has no control over it, I wouldn't get rid of my car over my kids children though it's like trying to tell your dad his car sucks when it is HIS not YOURS so who cares.

BUT you can always go to an auction buy a mini van for these things its what my uncle did.

You could always pay a AAA/BCAA mechanic an hour of 100$ to come with you at an auction and inspect a vehicle.
