infinity basslink mini-review

for those of you who don't know what the infinity basslink is, it's a small sized 10" sub/200-watt amp combo that bumps pretty hard for its size. i am very impressed with how good this baby hits. hookup is pretty simple. i ran a 12 gauge power cable from the battery to the hatch and tapped into the rear speakers to run high level inputs into the basslink. drilled a hole near the spare tire for ground.

now i just need some inifinity kappa speakers to set the sound off right!

will post setup pics soon.

Very cool. I've looked at this product before and have been interested in it's performance. I have a couple questions if you don't mind:
Where did you end up putting the bass-link? I'm not sure if it'd fit under one of the front seats or not, but that would be nice and stealthy!
Any problems with range? What I mean is, have you experienced any issues with the sub bottoming out?
Any reason why you didn't opt for the bass-linkII
Finally, integrating this into I'm assuming a factory setup, how does it blend with the rest of the components?

Thanks and congrats on the purchase. I look forward to seeing the pictures of your setup!

i mounted the sub in the passenger-side rear corner of the hatch. i mounted it horizontally rather than veritically. i will get a pictre later today.

i haven't really had a chance to test the full range of the sub but from what i have heard so far i can't complain. it sounds really good.

i bought this locally and i did not see the basslink II.

the bassinik integrates very nicely with the stock sound system. i'm actually very impressed with how much better it sounds without having replaced the four stock speakers. i will replace them eventually but for now my ears are happy.

I've said it before and I'll say it again... these little suckers are sweet. Great option for someone that doesn't want to give up trunk space for a little bass!

I've never had a car that could make ears bleed, so I have to get my rocks off with my Yaris, but if the novelty wasn't still there I'd have one of these already.

Hey thanks for the response! I like where you put it. Do you think it would fit under the passenger seat... judging by the picture I'm not thinkin it will.

def not under the seat lol.

I was never happy with the output of these, but this comes from a world champion SPL competitor.

yes it is not a good choice for a basshhead but it gives my system the little extra and then some it needs. It would not go under the seat. I want to make a mount to set it in the tire and get my space back.

you installed the basslink yourself? what would you charge me to install the basslink in my vehicle? before you know it, my car will be identical to yours. What kind of alarm did you get? How do you like it?
