Here in the UK, 6000 miles / 6 months is the norm.
Some cars have a 12,000 mile oil change interval. I've always been amazed that US car owners seem to believe 3000 miles is the 'correct' oil change interval and also usually pay someone else to do it! Another thing we don't do is rotate tyres quite so religiously. As stated, it's a good way to get people into the 'tyre shop'. |
