Be very scared! I am hoping to eventually get her back on the road, registered as a "kit car". A friend of mine is going through that process with an actual kit car, so I am watching what the DMV requires with his to determine if it is doable.

Did you just use a spring compresser? Can I compress the struts while its still mounted to the top?

There is not a lot of space around the spring, but I was able to get my manual spring compressors on the springs with them mounted to squeeze them enough to make it easy to compress the strut.
