definetly, i'm not saying that running high PSI in my DD is increasing grip, i'm definetly reducing it but i'm well in control of the car, tho high speed braking at speeds over 100mph is a little darty...i found that out this morning racing a turbo MX6 on the way to work, haha

Tires on the track can get so hot you can't touch them barehanded, hence you eventually build to a higher pressure. So you are still running higher pressure on the track once the tires get up to temp. You usually log track tire temps and the corresponding tire pressures so you know where to start cold.

You should never have this much heat in a street tire obviously, unless severely underinflated, or one is driving in an extremely non street friendly manner.

yes, a good way to prove this is the Indy 500 race this past saturday...the first few laps the cars were throwing sparks until the tires heated up & gained pressure thus raising the ride height of the cars just enough
