Separately I created an interface that allows one to use a genuine Vitz, Camry, Avalon, etc. Push to Start button to start one's car. It still requires the key to unlock the steering column and to authenticate to the immobilizer if so equipped. I eventually plan on taking that to the next level by adding RFID authentication to it to eliminate the key and allow for automatic lock on exit and unlock on approach.

Yes - My PTS inteface starts and kills the engine (and drives the LEDs in the OEM switch). Here's a YouTube video of it in action:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6zinlD58Eg
