Its involved and since almost no other car has shimmed valves like the ECHO and Yaris, I question whether there are any mechanics qualified to do it. I suspect they take your car, dont do the work, then say "It was good!"

Needs new plugs at 100k also.

e46 bmw m3 has shimmed valves. they get adjusted every 30k.....veeeery expensive maintenance. anyway, there are techs out there that know how to do it, and most good techs can do it with the appropriate instructions and some time and patience
