I don't see why Toyota would go out of its way to design new gauge clusters just for the US market. If the gauge clusters are consistent between the Japanese and European models, then the NA version having the same gauge cluster is completely logical. There's an actual fuel gauge. In pictures of the Japanese and European versions, that actual fuel gauge is opposite of a tachometer. Therefore, it is almost absolutely certain that the model shown at Lollapalooza had a tach.

its nothing new. euro and jdm models of lots of japanese cars (including the current model yaris) have included things that dont make it to north american versions.

heck, there are even differences on some things between what canada gets vs the usa.

My point is, a gauge cluster sans-tach already exists. If the Yaris won't have a tach, why would they show a model with a gauge cluster that matches that of the one with a tach.

Oh, also, old transmissions (5MT and 4AT), price range ($14,115 to $17,200), no more sedan (page 3 of the PDF), and production start (August 31st) confirmed:
