I have 205 50 16s on 16X7 +40mm offset. Check out my garage for pics. They work and look great.

This is the size that is closest to the stock diameter.

True, but I wanted to go a bit smaller (by 0.5") and the 50s are bigger by 0.3". The biggest difference, apart from your speedo reading low while mine reads high, is that you get a marginally better ride than I do. Main thing is that we're both happy with the choice

I like the way the 50 series filled out the wheelwells better, but it is all personal preference.
