1l/1000km is pretty much a standard all automakers use. it's of course a ridiculous amount, just an excuse not to do warranty engine rebuilds.
The only cars that I am aware of that will routinely consume that much are high mileage h22 preludes. that engine is unique, though, because it uses fiber reinforced cylinder lining that is known to let oil sneak by. Isn't the distance between disptick marks is more like 1.5 L on Yarii? seem to remember something odd like that.
