ScanGauge makes my car run cooler
That's because for the first time ever, when it's below 20 or so, I don't pre start and let it idle while loading the dog and other items before driving off. Now I can see what a hit that makes on my day trip mileage and I'm cheaper then I am a woosey about being cold for a few minutes.
And... even though I have my upper grill totally blocked off (zipped ties lexan), once I start down the mountain, the temps drop. The Yaris is just too effcient (HA) and doesn't have that much waste heat too throw away. I think I'll start incrementally blocking off the lower grill also. I don't have this "problem" with my F 250 pickup (12 MPG), it has good heater performance much sooner but you sure pay at the pump. |
