Big Buck Hunter : Yaris Edition

Well... yeah, I kinda hit a full-size deer head on at 95 km/h and it was a total loss. I would rather not provide more information as this is still a pending insurance case. But I was OK. At least I nailed it into a ditch and not into my windscreen.

I was sore for about a week but otherwise fine. No airbag deployment.

Too bad at the moment I can't afford another Yaris, I would surely trust it with my life.

I'll see you guys around in my Hyundai piece of crap for the next three years then I'll have Yaris on the mind.

I hate seeing these threads. I live in Ohio, and deer are all over the place. I've even seen them in populated suburban areas. Anyway, you made the correct move to hit the deer rather than swerve to avoid it. The car can be replaced, but your life and health cannot be. Swerving is actually far more dangerous than actually hitting the deer. Your Yaris clearly did a great job in absorbing the deer impact and keeping you safe.

Yeah, I was also trying to figure out why he said he couldn't afford a new Yaris. Bottom line is, if you have a car that's ten years old or less, you really need to carry comprehensive.

How big was the buck? I shot an 8 point buck in MI & let a bigger 8 point go in PA.

Ah, okay, that makes sense why you can't afford a new Yaris. Being poor totally sucks!
