Does it never get hot and humid in Ontario? I could never live without AC where I live.

Remember Bonnie and Clyde?

Cyldes parents were sharecroppers in Texas before it became completely uneconomical to make a living doing that. They moved to what became Ft Worth and lived under a wagon for a year.

My brother lives in Houston. It would kill me to be without AC there.

Of course it does. But thats what the windows are for. Roll them down and let the breeze flow in.

what breeze? the one that is the same temp and humidity as the rest of the air ? :) For that same reason, opening windows in the house does absolutely nothing.

In Toronto, unless you enjoy humid heat (some people do), ac is absolutely essential.
