A few years back a buddy bought 2 hail damaged BRAND NEW Subaru Outbacks. CHEAP.They looked like they had been gone over by a 6 year old with a ball peen hammer, maybe 50 or more just in the hood, even in the side panels! When he popped the hood and showed me the like new engine, he made his point, in his case it's all about function, he and his wife are still driving them. The funny thing is their name is Hale! I was stuck in grapefruit(maybe up to watermelon) sized hail in Tennessee. So glad the car was a rental, the poor people who lived there had their cars destroyed. We were stuck in a wall mart, it sounded like the entire building was about to come down. The poor people in the car next to us had both the windshield and rear window smashed, when they opened the doors the water was covering the seats and came flooding out. Every car had massive damage.
