OK goliath, looks like you win, is your job driving non-stop for toyota? lol
Anybody else? Maybe with a more "typical" driving cycle.

I've got 201,000 miles on my '08 Yaris. (5 speed) The only issues I've had with it are the rear hatch lock is frozen, won't unlock. And just recently, the SRS light remains on now. I don't know why that is but I also just recently hit the brakes real hard to avoid hitting a deer and was thinking that might have something to do with it.

It consumes no oil and still gets over 40mpg. I put front brake pads on it at 180,000. I'm very happy with it.

I have 207,778 miles on my Yaris. That isn't much given the potential durability of these cars -- see triniper4mance's YouTube channel (he is also a Yarisworld member) -- he hit 457,000 miles in January of 2012, and one of the YouTube members who left a reply on his channel is closing in on 900,000 kilometers on a 2002 Echo (same engine). Another Yarisworld member who has a Black 2007 LB (I can't remember his screen name) hit 445,000 miles in March of 2011.

Sigline...the engine is not original(trans is), the previous owner swapped it out when it had a relatively minor issue...it was cheaper.

Talking

I was just driving along and I realized I didn't answer the OP's specific point about original engine and original transmission in my post a couple of hours ago, so I pulled into a Starbucks to use the Wi-Fi to log on and correct my post. In the interim the owner of the Black Yaris I was referring to posted right after me and gave the info that his engine isn't original, but the transmission is. Mazilla (screen name) doesn't state how many miles are currently on his Yaris, but if I remember correctly another post from October 2011 stated that he had recently replaced the clutch at 470,000 miles...impressive by any measure. Triniper4mance is on his original engine and transmission, as he has posted his repair/preventative maintenance records/intervals in the comments on his YouTube channel. The other owner I mentioned hit 850,000 kilometers (527,000 miles) in his 2002 Echo in January of 2012 and he also has his own YouTube channel (mjuhanil), but doesn't give any repair information on his channel.

There are a handful of people I have seen that have that type of mileage on the Yaris, almost all of them are courier's of some type.

Yea, if I remember correctly triniper4mance used to deliver blood and when he stopped doing that his mileage decreased significantly. However, the 2002 Echo with 527,000+ miles....that is over 9-10 years, so a somewhat normal range per year. I read somewhere about another 2002 Echo with over 550,000 miles on it and the only recurring issue was that every 105k miles or so the front wheel bearings needed replacement but that everything else about the car was just phenomenal re longevity. I think these two cases (the Echo is so similar) as well as others can give us hope that such mileage lengths can be relatively unproblematic over the longer timeframe we non couriers might need to rack up such numbers.

After my last post I noticed the similar threads section at the bottom of the page and one of the posts was by Trini. I used his YouTube channel name in my post, but probably should have (?) used his Yarisworld screen name which has one more character -- the under score between the i and the p -trini_per4mance. I'm retired, but I may buy another small business at some point. Some people who drive significant mileage may work seasonally, be semi retired, or command a rate of pay that allows for time off and comfortable travel much of the year. I have a friend (an American who is an MD) who goes to remote locations in Sweden where the government can't get enough staff doctors with families to relocate and takes lucrative temporary assignments in these places. He only works about 6 months a year and travels for pleasure the other 6 months of the year.

i got 160,000 miles stock engine and tranny. I replaced the front bearing at 130,000 miles and around that time, I also had issues with over heating. at 150,000 i changed the fuel filter and pump unit.
