Personally, I use an Iphone 4 and was really bummed when 4s was just hardware improvements. I would wait for the Iphone 5 due to it will be the shiznit (Super phone) when its released. In the meantime, I would save $$ and go for a basic phone without the data plan. You probably will get a discount if you hop back onto data too.
