Hi Guys,

I have had my 2012 Yaris 1.5L 5 door Automatic for around 1 month now and after reading the fuel millage that people are getting my numbers aren't getting close.

Here is a link to my fuelly. I have recorded every single fill up since getting it do I only don't know the cost of the dealership's tank they put in for me

http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rison/yaris

As you can see on fuelly it has all been 95ULP with no ethanol except for 2 which one was 98ULP and the other was 91 with ethanol (the latest one).

The car has done around 3300km's does these numbers seem normal? I am driving about about 20% city driving and 80% Highway.

I am not sure if it is just because of the difference in fuel types cause of been in Australia.

I have had the free service at around 1,000km that the dealer does other then that I have not done anything.

Cheers,
Matt

I'm also an Aussie owner in my Yaris ZR which is only one week old today and has 1000km on it, I've only managed to get it down to 7.1L/100km so far. And about 540km a tank. I just hope in the future I can get it down to low 6's at least.

My lower ones (Around 6.7L/100km) has been when I did a long trip on the freeway but the rest of them have been about 20% city and 80% freeway. I can't seem to get below 7.1 which is my average. I travel 1,000km's atleast a week for work so I am going to try using a few different fuels and see how it goes. I update my fuelly page about 2-3 times a week so feel free to keep checking it.

I am wondering if changing the oil will help? I am not sure if it is the same in Australia or not but people seem to be getting better mileage after changing the oil?

If I can get a constant 6.2-6.5L/100km I will be very happy. But I am really enjoying the car anyway and it is better then my previous car.

Cheers,
Matt
