I also noticed your 6*9 boxes are of sealed enclosure type which seem too small for these type of speakers; - 6*9 are usually high Qts speakers purposed for infiinite baffle (aka free air) installations - as a result your speakers do not perform up to their potential. You can remove the terminal plates at the rear wall (just leave a round hole unplugged) - this will somewhat improve performance: you'll get a a bit better low end resonse.

So I ported my 6x9 boxes with a 2inch hole saw. Allows for better movement of air. Sounds a lot better. Also went back to bestbuy today. Got an amplifier and also upgraded my 6x9s. In the process of wiring everything up today. I should have pics up later tonight.

It all depends on if you can hear good quality or not. If you can, don't even buy those as they are bad and you need 200+ speakers to actually have good quality. but if you can't hear good, then 30 buck ones will sound good enough

so here is an update to what i've been doing. i wired the door 6.5s and my rear 6x9s. tuned the amp. everything sounded great. then i came across a set of 8" subs with component mids and tweeters. they are already in separate boxes. they are rather large so im in the process of figuring out where to mount everything. 600w amp powering everything. with what i've been reading, if i "combine" the left front 6.5 and left rear 6x9 into channel 1, the right front 6.5 and the rear right 6x9 into channel 2, that leaves channels 3 and 4 for my new to me 8" component setup.

-side note; has anyone put tweeters in the C pillars? or anywhere else like that?

@ razingman - my $40 pioneer 6.5s sound amazing. the pioneer 6x9s sound great too when i take them out of those shitty walmart brand boxes i happened to have gotten for free.

make sure the amp can handle the load you are thinking about putting on it. if they are 4 ohm speakers, you are talking about applying either a 2 or 8 ohm load on the front channels of your amp (depending on how you are going to wire it). I think most amps that are bridgable can handle individual 2 ohm loads.

I miss the good old days when rockford fosgates were quarter ohm stable...
