It's fun to have a day flight on a day clear enough to allow for such pics. I flew from Phoenix to Oakland last year and saw some wonderful snow capped views of the Sierras that I'd never seen before, despite being on many flights approaching the Bay Area from that direction. I managed to capture a few of these views with my camera.
