The fuel gauge has nothing to do with the ECM. The fuel gauge is directly connected to only the instrument cluster (of which they can not reflash). If something changed with your bars after the reflash, then it has to do with a change in fuel consumption.

now im confused.. my average mpg before toyota had the car was 1st bar falls off at around 110km, 2nd bar 190-200km... after toyota my km was 165km n 2nd bar was gone.. and my average is 175 km for that 2nd bar to fall off.. but over all my mpg is the same for the whole tank. toyota must have done something >> but for now i dont really care..

And what does this idiotic statement have to do with the 7.4 million Toyotas worldwide that are being recalled?

Did you miss the memo that the Yaris/Belta/Vios/Vitz are manufactured and assembled in Japan?

This is why I like cranks and manual locks. There are less moving parts and components to malfunction, break, or wear out.

I didn't buy a Hyundai because none of them came with crank windows or used real non-electronic keys to unlock the doors. I'm so glad I held out for the old trailing edge technology.
