I like rice too.
 I am having problem with "high idle".The surging is gone though.But when i put it in neutral and release the clutch the idle is running higher than normal.  Again, 1.It could be a vacuum leak. 2.AIC 3.TPS 4.Neutral control switch. 5.Sticky throttle. I dunno. But one thing for sure I will give it a go. See if i can fix it myself.I love rice as well.
