I went with 1.5" but more because that is what I found. I have been told that 1.75" is the deepest.
I have never actually measured it myself but in my mind, what difference does a quarter of an inch make as long as they actually fit. you may want to look into center caps as well to complete the look. there are a few different options. I actually thought about colored lug nuts but really didn't know what direction to go other than silver for my car so they stayed stock (and I already had them)
