I have used the cheapest, crappiest oil filter on every car I have ever owned in 35 years and never had a problem of any kind.
Except for my 1974 VW Beetle which didnt HAVE an oil filter. It has the distinction of having the most miles on it, ~250,000 miles. 1980 Subaru 99,000 miles - sold to buy 1988 VW Station Wagen for kids. 110,ooo miles - sold when the car wouldnt start - fuel pump reply was bad. I didnt know it. 1992 Honda Accord Station Wagen (used) 153,000 miles when it was stolen. It was revoered by the police when they busted a drug gang. (trashed in the getaway attempt) In the ash tray was a business card House Of Pain Body Piercing. !997 Saturn Sedan (used) 150,000 miles when the auto transmission went. 2005 Camry Sedan. current. 94,000 miles
